Tomchei Shabbos identifies families and individuals in Westchester County who are in a state of financial difficulty, and provides them with Shabbat and Yom-Tov food and supplies with dignity, respect, and the utmost discretion.
We are funded exclusively by the generous donations of our Young Israel of New Rochelle membership. Many of our members contribute to commemorate a yahrzeit. Every penny donated goes directly to meet the needs of our constituents. The need for assistance is brought to our attention and confirmed with local Jewish organizations and Rabbis.
Volunteers are needed to deliver Tomchei Shabbos packages to recipients in local neighborhoods.
