Member Financial Obligations

Annual Dues: As one of the largest and fastest growing Modern Orthodox shuls in Westchester, Young Israel of New Rochelle relies on annual membership dues to fund operating expenses and strengthen and service our community through a wide array of programming, including religious, ritual and social events, youth activities, education, chesed, advocacy and sharing the traditions and teachings of our Torah.  Annual dues are currently $2,500 per family and $1,250 per individual.  Annual fees are due annually (YINR’s fiscal year is July 1 - June 30th) and they are payable by check or by credit card.

Building Fund: Beyond annual dues, YINR relies on the Building Fund as the primary source to fund capital improvements and extraordinary and/or unexpected repairs  to the several properties owned by Young Israel of New Rochelle (funds in this account also may be applied toward any new building projects which periodically arise).  In addition to our main building at 1149 North Ave, the shul also owns, operates, and maintains residences of several key shul employees as well as the ‘old shul’ building located at 1228 North Ave (that building also houses the Mikvah of New Rochelle). The building fund is currently $10,000 for family memberships.  No payments in respect of the Building Fund are due during the first 18 months of your membership. Various payment schedules and payment methods options are available as described below.

If you have any concerns respecting the amount or payment timeframes of the above financial obligations, we encourage you to reach out to the YINR office; your concerns will be addressed in a respectful and discrete manner.
